A pair of red tailed hawks were interrupted from an unknown source. Something is learning not to tread on them!

It’s fascinating to observe a bald eagle feasting on a carcass, as a flock of turkeys strut into the picture. A very curious hen ventured quite close to this raptor’s personal space. Baldy kept calm and carried on, as the thunder chickens moved on.

Fifield Outfitters welcomed brothers Orion and Hunter for a coyote hunt. These guys were a pleasure to guide for and they persevered despite the cold temperatures that the evening brought. We sat up in a couple of spots and tried calling, but unfortunately nothing came in. After we left, a trail camera at one of the locations filmed a bobcat visiting, but no coyotes. We’re looking forward to having them back to join us on a fishing trip this upcoming season.
